Self isolate grant
[Deleted User]
Hi, I have recently become self employed in September 2020. Would I still be able to receive the 500 pound grant for self isolating if someone in my house hold has tested positive for the virus. I have read up on it I have proof of earnings and proof I cannot work from home. It also mentions I can show them my self assement I do not have one of these as I only became self employed in September.
Thanks in advance, Billy

If you have read up on it surely you know if you are eligible or not...

Are you in receipt of one of those benefits?1 -
It doesn’t specifically say if you have to have submitted a self assessment. You would need to make contact and ask.Even if you don’t receive benefits you may be able to get a discretionary payment as per the link provided above.1
