Going back on furlough while still redendant

You're lucky then. Obviously your employer doesn't think they'll be a role for you at the end of it but will allow you to get furlough instead of claiming benefits (which will likely be a much lower amount.)
Unless you have worked there over 2 years and the furlough end date change won't affect the full number of years you've worked there, then yes they can just tell you to keep what you've received and that you won't get any extra. If it does increase the number of full years you've worked there I would stay quiet for now, as if you point this out your employer might end your furlough earlier than they would otherwise do.1 -
When were you made redundant precisely?0

Then they can rehire you and furlough you.
"2.4 Employees re-employed by their employer
Employees that were employed and on the payroll on 23 September 2020 who were made redundant or stopped working for their employer afterwards can be re-employed and claimed for. The employer must have made a PAYE Real Time Information (RTI) submission to HMRC from 20 March 2020 to 23 September 2020, notifying a payment of earnings for those employees.
Similarly, an employee who was on a fixed term contract, on payroll on 23 September, and that contract expired after 23 September can be re-employed and claimed for, provided that the other eligibility criteria are met."
You will have to establish whether you need to repay your redundancy payment etc, or whether they are treating this as a new job with no continuity of service.

Or, they can tell you to do one once they realise it wont be a freebie for them, and you wont get a penny.0

I've been told in writing and verbally that I am still redundant and it won't affect my entitlement to redundancy pay.bradders1983 said:Or, they can tell you to do one once they realise it wont be a freebie for them, and you wont get a penny.0 -
That wasnt the point I was making. Yes the employer can take you back on and get the money from the Government, but they will incur costs themselves to furlough you, you also accrue holiday days that they have to pay for. I assume they realise this?giantcatbear99 said:

Yes. That was detailed in the letter. They're prepared to pay for any additional holiday days accrued.bradders1983 said:

In that case then your ex employer is a mug, but you may as well pounce on it.0
