Spark Energy

It has come to my attention that my energy supply has changed without my knowledge in July this year. I have not been paying anything for my gas and electric since then. I have contacted my original energy provider and they said I will be back with them on 21 November. I don’t want to pay Spark Energy for something I didn’t ask for. What are my rights?

For erroneous transfers, you are covered by a Charter:
https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/energy/energy-supply/problems-with-your-energy-supply/youve-been-switched-to-a-new-energy-supplier-without-your-agreement/
Note that the ‘new’ supplier should pay you £30 compensation. Your will owe your old supplier for all the energy that you have consumed whilst you were with the new supplier.1 -
Could be a genuine error and they've taken the wrong supply number(s).0
