Everytime I think I have made my decision about a phone, a new question pops up.

I am quite unbothered about which phone I have, but my daughter is getting my iPhone5 as her first phone in a couple of months.

I think an iPhone7 is quite sufficient for me, but am planning on keeping it a fair while (as I did my iPhone5) and was wondering if others thought it would be good for a few years yet.

The only other question I have is whether I should get the 32GB or the 128GB.  I have a few games and such like, but not sure how much the system requires.  At the moment, I have 16GB, but not the most up to date system as it won't fit.

I am planning on buying a refurb from Music Magpie as they seem to have good reviews.

I'd highly recommend the SE 2nd gen, but I'm guessing that's outside your budget?
Otherwise an iPhone 7 will be fine. Wrt size, 32gb might be ok but only you will know how much you space you require.

Get the 2nd gen SE, its great value at £399.
I really would not recommend an iPhone 7 really, the processor is older and most handsets will be second hand now so could have battery life issues now.
Also if you want to keep if for 6 years again then a newer model will keep working well for much longer. The new SE will do this for you for longer than the 7.

It's possible that Apple will stop supplying updates from next year, the iPhone 6 stopped getting them 2 years ago. Would suggest you look for something newer, as suggested a SE 2nd get or iPhone 8.

Thanks everyone.  I have no idea what a SE 2nd gen is.  Guess it will be something for me to look up.  Don't have a particular budget in mind, but because I'm not overly bothered about which phone, would rather save where I can.

Plus I'm guessing with two daughters getting older, they will need better than the iPhone5s they either or will be getting just cos the phone system will simply not work any more.

I think I will not get the iPhone7 from what people have said.  But will now compare the iPhone 8 and this SE model.

Another thing to mention is I don't want it to be too big.  I like the little iPhone5 size, haha.

You can compare iPhones here https://www.apple.com/uk/iphone/compare/

the SE second generation is this one https://www.apple.com/uk/iphone-se/

Apple don’t make anything as small as the iPhone 5 anymore.

The new (second generation) iPhone SE and the iPhone 8 are the same size, but the SE has a newer/faster processor.

The brand new iPhone 12 mini is smaller than the 8 & new SE but of course as it’s a new model it is much more expensive. It’s still not as small as the old 5.
