hello again
right i have done all suggestions for slow laptop everyone advised
it is much quicker
aol say i have to contact bt as my line cant go any higher than aol silver? is this something i will have to pay for?
also sat here with ram upgrade and i cant see where to put it
i have undone everything under laptop and cant see anything that looks like what ive bought from crucual which should be right for my laptop
any suggestions please

Helen, I suggest you give us the Make & Model of your laptop. We may then be able to advise.:rolleyes:

It will be under a flap on the bottom of the laptop.
Do you have the manual?

do i have to remove battery from laptop underneath or just disconnect from wall

Disconnect from wall AND remove battery.
Also earth yourself to remove any static that may have built up on you.

ive done it
everything seems to be working
had nothing come up on screen
how do i know if ive done it right?
there were 2 slots so i put it in empty one and left other one in,was this right?

Yes, sounds right. If you go into Control Panel, System, General and look at the info under Computer: it will tell you how much memory it thinks it has.
If it doesn't show up, some motherboards need you to go into the BIOS setup screen and save the new config data before recognising the extra memory.0 -
it says i have 736 now so that would be right i think
