Really difficult to get in touch with Currys for online order

I purchased a cooker from Currys online and it got delivered 5 days ago. It turns out it's slightly faulty (the ignition lighter doesn't work properly for 2 of the burners). I've been trying to get in touch with someone at Currys but it's not been easy at all. If you try to email them on any of the email addresses I've received emails on then I just a canned response saying that the address is not monitored. They only have one number on their website and calling it will force you to their website. Clicking through various menus and website options will then lead to a page give all the various manufacturer contact details as they seem to be deflecting their responsibility on to the manufacturer. I've tried their online webchat which doesn't help either, it's just a scripted robot giving canned answers which then advises me to call the same number that was on their website. I'm tearing my hair out with the loops they keep sending me in.
Given I've only noticed this fault within 5 days, I feel the cooker should be replaced or at least repaired. But seems extremely difficult to speak to anyone or even logging the fact that I have an issue.
Does anyone know what I can do?

Should really be on the Consumer Rights board but you just need to persevere in trying to get hold of someone at Currys, particularly in the current times. If it is indeed faulty, and they have a right to send someone out to confirm, then you do have a right to a full refund if you so wish so push for that or a replacement but don't accept a repair.0

Have you followed the instructions via the large items returns request - https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/help-and-services/shopping-with-us/returns-and-refunds-16-commercial.html
Or try this number - 0344 561 12340 -
i think because their stores are closed because of covid, their helpline is not working. when i have had issues before with the cooker, they have always been very good at sending someone out to repair it within the guarantee period and i never had any issue with the helpline.
persevere with contacting them. they may have more staff in during weekdays if you have been calling them during the weekend. i find mornings are less busy than afternoons when calling these lines.0 -
Currys may be cheapest, but certainly not the best retailer"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Not really related but I bought a laptop through Curry's in March and wanted to return it, I never got hold of anyone and eventually my credit card company refunded me. I would never buy anything from them after this.0
