My MSE Deal Gladioli

Back in June this year I got 100 Gladioli bulbs for £10+free postage from an MSE deal.
I'm not much of a gardener, but I decided to put them in my flowerbed and see what happened.
Pleased to say, about 30 of them came up with most of them blooming. The first one was red, but got got knocked down in a storm. All the others have white blooms. Best £10 I've spent this year

Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

I hear Eric Clapton did much the same thing. He was so pleased he recorded this:They do give you a good bang for your buck . We have a few of the' wild' (byzantinus) ones in the hedges near me and they survive where very little else gets a foothold.

I bought a couple of packs from Lidl early in the year, dark purple and light yellow. They’ve given me superb cut flowers over the summer, and when the foliage started to yellow I dug up the bulbs and most of them had split to produce two huge new bulbs ready to plant next year. I’ll just throw them in the loft until next spring as they don’t like frost apparently.1
