Morning all, it's another grey day but at least there's no rain .......... and I'm off the lockdown bench, not that it matters much to us as we rarely leave the house now.Today I have to do some mending on 2 bras, one has come apart at a seam and I took the plastic bones out of the other as they were rubbing under my arms, shouldn't take very long. I aim to bake 2 light fruit cakes too, one for us and one for Dad. There is a recipe for cake that came with the bread maker so I'll try that, I've never baked anything except bread in there. The green waste bins need to go out tonight, last time this year I believe and the dw needs my attention...... oh! what an exciting day !!My anniversary flowers are still going strong except the Gerbera, they bit the dust after the 1st week and my late BIL's rose is blooming again in the garden, so I've cut it and added it to the vase, I didn't want the frost to get it.Tea tonight will be ham and cheese pasta in a tomato sauce with chunky bread.RedRuby fingers crossed that your sore throat passes and it's just a blip. I'm a night owl too and find it hard to "drop off" but could sleep all day.Nelski have you tried giving the wm a good kick too ? Hope you don't have to buy a new one or you might have to sell a bottle of Bailey'sSorry to all those now back on the lockdwn bench but please keep my seat warm, I may need it again.Take care and stay safe.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11

Morning all, it's strangely mild today. I am also feeling a bit zombified, DH woke me at 5.30 going to the bathroom & I never got back to sleep, & coupled with the scary loud fireworks/ nervous dog combo I feel like I haven't had a decent nights sleep in ages. I've not much washing to do but it's all in a big pile on the landing in baskets to make a secure 'hideaway nest' for Miss scaredypants. It's the best place for her when all the doors are shut - I put the TD on last night and she went to sleep. Really hoping there won't be any tonight.I need to do some post weekend tidying too, and my cardmaking stuff is dotted around the kitchen. Another loaf needs making, where do these men put it! Better get cracking then
, I'll fish something out of the freezer for tea, I need to make some room.
RR, hope the clean up isn't as bad as you fear & your pre op goes aheadxx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11 -
