Single story extension plan - thoughts welcome

Hi all,
We are moving into our new home in the next month or so (hopefully, without any Covid delays), the house is bigger than our current one with so much more potential although the kitchen is dreadful at the minute.
The house currently has quite a large conservatory on the back (4.3m x 4.5m), which we plan on knocking down to build a single story extension and open out from the existing dining room to create an open plan living space and kitchen. I’ve shown the original plan and our proposed idea. I am no designer and have done this on an iPad app.

My thought was to keep the original kitchen walls in place but split this into a WC and a utility room, blocking up the side door as well, the bathroom is located above the existing kitchen so I assumed it would be easier for connecting the toilet to existing waste pipes.
I realise that building the full 4m+ of the existing conservatory would require full planning permission as it exceeds the 3m aloud under permitted development, however I don’t think we could get the size kitchen we would want in that layout with that size.
I welcome peoples thoughts as I have no experience in construction or architecture, and it would be helpful to know if this is completely unrealistic or we if have a good starting point, or anything I may have completely missed or not thought about it.
thanks
Dan

Looks good. And it will stand up. You'll
have a small pier jutting from the wall between the lounge and dining areas, but it won't impede on your plan. You'll need planning permission for the section that goes past the side wall, but it sounds like you're prepared for that. Will you still be able to access the garden from the side?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Thanks for the quick feedback.
Would the bit jutting out be for a support beam? This wouldn’t cause an issue.
yes there would still be access (we walked away from a near perfect house because of no side access to the garden on our house search) - there is actually a garage which is a pathway away from the house as below. We have contemplated rebuilding this as part of the house (Leaving the path to the garden to the left of the garage rather than between the house and garage) and having a second storey side extension above it as we well as the plans I have shown above, but we decided this was probably going to set us back too much.

Yes, as the support for an RSJ.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Are you blocking up your front door too?
Would you mind saying what app you used? Results look good.Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0 -
I'd move the door into the utility towards the back of the house. That will give you a longer bit of wall between the 2 doors, and longer bits of wall are generally more useful for placing furniture etc.0

No I'm not blocking up the front door but that's a good spot!!
Its called Magicplan - think there is a paid for version, you are only aloud one project on the free one but you can get away with this by just having lots of floors on the one project to save different ideas. There is also an option to view the plan in 3D, although not the best it is quite useful to imagine the layout.
Thanks scottishblondie that does make sense.1
