I am planning a single storey extension of around 32sqm. The house has already had a 32sqm extension and I am planning on building on top of it to create 2 bedrooms. An architect has quoted me £400 planning drawings and then £500 building reg drawing.
Is this a fair cost?

Before you get an architect involved, you should probably look to see if your existing single storey foundations are adequete. Two storey extensions require deeper footings, so unless you already had that done with your existing extension, then youre going to spend a considerable amount of time and money on sorting that out first.0
