TSB offline again?

I'm locked out of TSB online banking today. I'm just getting an error message when I click the login button on the TSB web site:
This site can’t be reachedinternetbanking.tsb.co.uk’s server IP address could not be found.
Tried 2 different web browsers and rebooting the router. Other sites are working OK.
Is anyone else getting this?

  • Working fine here.  Sounds like a DNS issue.

I've finally managed to get on.
I tried another PC and that seemed to be working, but I got called away for a while before I could fully log in. When I returned, both PCs would not even load the main www.tsb.co.uk web page. After another couple of rebooting PCs and router, suddenly both PCs can now log in OK.
Very strange, and a bit worrying as all other sites I tried were working fine all the time.
  • I have recurring problems with TSB but usually with their app. It's terribly slow to load the transactions.
I console myself that come December I can empty the accounts, stop all SO, start paper statements, and dump the app.
Pity about the interest that we will no longer receive.

Can follow all of your actions apart from going for paper statements. Why?

Maybe I should reconsider the use of paper statements.
But, but, it might stop the tedious emails from TSB about the "important documents" that we receive. It also keeps our friendly postman in a job!
With the accounts then having minimum balances and no arranged overdrafts, however, then there will be little possibility of any transactions before a switch occurs.
I haven't yet resolved how to maintain the 2% regular savers until February.  Can you feed them from other banks?

Well, yes. If they could actually tell you what the document in the inbox is, that'd be a definite improvement. However, that relies on them correctly labelling the document in the first place. A few months ago, I logged into my account and saw this:

That had me worried. At the time, my account had about £1,800 in it, and had never been overdrawn. When I opened the document, I found that it was actually confirmation that my account switch from RBS had been completed.

No. This is from the product conditions that I downloaded when I started one in February:

So you'll need to run a two-stage process - from the third-party account to your TSB current account, and then on from that to the saver.

    Many thanks for your info.
I conclude that I will need to maintain my standing order from the TSB current to the TSB regular saver for the 1st of the month. I will have to have a SO from say Lloyds to TSB current also on the 1st.  The SO to the regular saver will fail at the first attempt, however.  The SO should work at the second or third attempt.  I will need to monitor the account on 4th Jan..
