Boohoo returns. 14 days to return

Hi all, ordered some clothes fell boohoo. Forgot about them to be honest. Builders came to start work on my house and found a boohoo parcel over the gate. I received no card. They wouldn’t let me return as I was now on the 15th day. Argued it as citizens advice said they couldn’t prove that I had received the goods. They refunded the clothes. But took off the delivery fee (out going) and I had to pay to return them. Is it my fault? Many thanks, katie

How long after you received them did you actually return the clothes? as Boohoo allow 28 days.0

15 days. But they say it’s because I didn’t cancel within 14 . Thanks0

So it was your fault but somehow they are in the wrong?1

Did you miss the bit where the OP didn't know they'd even been received? IMHO the clock starts ticking when the goods come into the possession of the orderer.
@katiefam they should also have returned the initial (standard) delivery cost, and normally you'd be liable for the returns cost (if it's in their T&Cs), but in the circumstances I'd suggest chalking this one up to experience.0 -
If you chose to order them and then decided you didn't want them, why should Boohoo pay any of the postage?
You ordered them and changed your mind, you should pay.

Totally an aside. Please dont waste citizens advice time on small sums/issues such as this.
They are under extreme pressure/deamand and a lifeline to some in desperate need.0 -

We've been through this before ... the answer is because they are legally obliged to (refund the initial standard delivery charge, provided that the consumer also keeps to their obligations). If you disagree then petition for a change in the law.mattyprice4004 said:If you chose to order them and then decided you didn't want them, why should Boohoo pay any of the postage?0
