Speeding fine NIP notice help

So today I received an NIP for doing 50mph on the m42 and should have done 40mph. I do a delivery job so this was on a company van. The letter was from WMP and stated that they have photographic evidence of this offence and now I have to provide my details. However, they did not attach any photos of this and the date of the offence was 04/09/2020. Its been 2 months now and I was told by someone that they would need to send this within 14 days or else I can dispute it? There is no information on the letter about appealing the NIP

The NIP has to be served on the registered keeper within 14 days of the alleged offence. As this was a company van, I presume that they received the original NIP, giving them 28 days to nominate the driver.jubz0800 said:So today I received an NIP for doing 50mph on the m42 and should have done 40mph. Once they did so, the Police then have a 'reasonable time' to send a second NIP to the person nominated, which was you.
So unless you have a viable defence, such as evidence that the camera recording was faulty you should fill in the form confirming your details as the driver, and hope they offer you a fixed penalty, or a driver awareness course, both much cheaper than a fine in the Magistrates' Court.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.3 -
So even if they received the NIP after 14 days I can't dispute it?0

If the registered keeper received the NIP after the 14 days, they can dispute it, you can't.1

I see, is it worth asking my employers when they received this because I have a feeling they nominated me after 14 days0

These questions are better asked on Pepipoo as you have been advised.2

Or hire Beckham's lawyer , Nick 'Mr Loophole' Freeman at great cost , I am sure he will know the answers
Pepipoo is best for free advice on this complicated topic
But if the driver was speeding , then do what Bargepole said , accept the lumps , hope it goes to a speed awareness course and move on. If you can't do the time , don't do the crime !!3 -
Offence was on 04/09jubz0800 said:I see, is it worth asking my employers when they received this because I have a feeling they nominated me after 14 days
NIP needs to be delivered by 18/09
Reg keeper has 28 days to respond takes it to 26/10
You received your nip 6/11
2 months between offence and you getting the NIP is reasonable2
