Quote for minor repair to roof

Hi
I have a leak in the roof of my house. I have got a quote for repairing it and they said it was due to a small number tiles slippong out of place (approx 5)
They quoted £300 to repair it and clear our gutters which i think seems very high
Any opinions on this? Trying to get another quote but struggling to get someone to come round
Thanks

How many tiles need replacing and what sort of tiles are they?0

If it includes cleaning your gutters then I'd say that's fairly reasonable.0

Pretty fair price I would say.
Unless of course they are a bunch of sharks & start 'finding' extra work.

I had the exact same issue.
4 cut tiles replaced in the valley and sealant applied for £290 incl. VAT, location is NW London, and the company is a Which Trusted Trader and member for the NFRC so I knew I would pay a premium. If you're getting the gutters cleared as well (I was charged £25 per gutter separately), it seems like a reasonable price.
Unfortunately good roofers are like gold dust and can charge really what they want for the minor jobs, especially with the weather recently and as it is something a DIYer may be less comfortable with than things like painting, flooring, shelving, some plumbing etc. Also replacing a water-damaged ceiling or resolving a damp issue is much more expensive and more hassle, so best to pay for the preventative measure.0 -
"Which Trusted Trader".........try and find a bad review on it0

Still better than Checkatrade or myBuilder, they have more to lose with bad feedback. In any case, they did fix the problem, the only ones out of the 3 quotes I had to actually identify what was causing the issue and fix it. Maybe I was just luckycouriervanman said:"Which Trusted Trader".........try and find a bad review on it0
