Lloyds TSB switching offer

Hi all,
I've tried to get an application in before the deadline on Monday so that I can take advantage of their current £100 switching offer. #
Unfortunately it would only let me set up a sole account online and as the account I want to switch is a joint account, I cannot complete the process.
I am left with either canceling the switch or attending the branch tomorrow with my wife and see if they will add her as an account holder, though the fact that all of our bills are online may now provide triacky when trying to provide proof of address.
Has anyone else encountered this and found a straight forward solution?

Is it Lloyds or TSB?0

Switching joint accounts will usually be problematic - as you need, as you've found out, to open a new joint account first, and often that can't be done online.
You will, probably, need to go to branch. The switch you've tried to set up will simply fail, as you've opened a sole account and are trying to switch a joint account in. It won't happen.
You are, I assume, talking about Lloyds.
TSB has been a completely separate entity to Lloyds for many years. There's no such thing as Lloyds TSB.1 -
You have a better odds of winning the lottery than just walking into a branch on a Saturday morning and being seen for an appointment.
If your six numbers come up then a passport or driving licence will suffice for Lloyds if you wife is a UK resident - single ID.1 -
Thanks for the replies folks.
Yes, it's Lloyd's I'm probably showing my age by putting Lloyd's TSB.
just as way of update, I attended my local Lloyds yesterday and they photocopies our ID and then I managed to get a telephone appointment to run through the switching side of things.
Hopefully a fairly easy £100 👍June 2016 - Pair of Brooks Glycerin 14's
