Double glazing Install costs

I've priced up windows and doors on a supply only basis and would like a rough idea of supply and fit price without having to go through the pain of getting quotes at this stage. It's 13 windows of varying sizes, 1 french door, 1 front door and 1 back door, which comes in at about £9k supply only inc VAT. What would be a reasonable amount to add for fitting? I was thinking maybe a week's work for 2 people?

Don't waste your time, it will be a disaster.0

Not many fitters will take on the job as it's relying on you getting the measurements correct. Get a decent independent fitter and they'll source the same items and may also get them cheaper than you can with trade discount1

Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.2 -

How long's a piece of string ? For starters, the price you've got for the windows is likely to be retail - any half-decent fitter is likely to get some sort of a trade discount. What about other materials - sealants, fixings, etc. Have you factored those in? I'm not a window-fitter, I don't know what else would be required, I suspect you probably don't either? You say you've estimated 2 man-weeks of labour - have you any idea whether that's realistic, what are you basing it on? Or did you just pluck that figure out of the air?As always, you really need to get 3 quotes. Get recommendations for local independent companies, avoid the big boys that are named after mountains etc. (your local Facebook page is a good place to start for asking for recommendations). You'll very quickly be able to see if the quotes are in the same ball-park as each other - if they are, you can be reasonably confident that they're all quoting a fair price.OK, if you really must, have a look here: https://www.priceyourjob.co.uk/double-glazed-window-cost/"Most window fitters work in pairs and charge around £300 per day in total for labour. On average a pair of skilled window installers are able to install up to 6 windows a day depending on the ease of access"Disclaimer - I make no claims about the accuracy of this information, but it might give you a starting point.

Thanks to @AJmason42 for the figures for a similar job to mine and to @Freebear for enlightening me about Building regs (I hadn't realised).1
