Unfortunately I cannot seem to post on my original thread.
This morning my Court Case was heard via CVP.
A scrap of paper was left on my windscreen in 2019 by VCS.
I proved that my car was parked on a public highway at the time and the Judge decided in my favor.
Thank you to ALL of members here who helped me with this case, your support has been invaluable.
Good luck to those fighting these parking cowboys - It takes time, is stressful, but believe me, the feeling you get if you win is worth the time and effort involved. Everything you need is on these threads to help you with your fight!
Don't give up - I nearly did- So glad I didn't!

Excellent result, but the judgment is damning. Ticketing on the public highway by private parking firms is strictly forbidden. In view of this quite clear statement from the court, why not give the PPC a dose of their own medicine by making life uncomfortable for them?
Write to the DVLA and complain that the Judge has determined that the PPC has no authority to operate at this location - a public road. Ask that the DVLA investigates and reports back to you. In particular they should calculate how many charges have been issued, with the PPC being required to cancel all charges for that location and repay any motorists who have been misled and paid. Email in the first instance:
ccrt@dvla.gov.uk (and)
KADOEservice.support@dvla.gov.uk
email both.If you get a fob off from that approach, follow it up with a full blown Freedom of Information request. It will be more difficult for them to hide under FOI.
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/You should also consider issuing the PPC a Letter of Claim prior to a possible county court claim for breach of the DPA/GDPR rules. Read these:

http://parking-prankster.blogspot.com/2016...orist-wins.htmlThere has to be some process of backlash against PPCs to make them think twice before issuing tickets on a scattergun basis, and their unchecked harvesting of personal data from the DVLA on an industrial scale. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Thank you.
I need a little project during lockdown2!
Do I receive anything else from the Court now like a written summary of the Judges decision?
Would I need a written summary to press ahead with the above?
