I have a Santander zero current account which was opened when they were first launched. Is it worth keeping this account or switching to a new current account ?

Depends on what you mean by 'worth keeping'.
Do you use it? Does it do what you need it to do? If so, if it aint broke it may not need fixing.
Unless you think another account elsewhere might be more useful in which case you could switch it, especially if there is a switching incentive.
On the other hand is it un-used now? A redundant account? If so then it may be worth switching anyway, to get a switching incentive.
But, looking at the broader perspective and ignoring switching incentives, why not keep it anyway, used or not. And if you find another current account suits you better open that as an additional one, not switching at all. Giving you a current account at more than one bank - always useful in case IT systems fail.
