hi i am wondering if i can get some advice. My company are refusing to pay me furlough as they can't afford national insurance or pension. Is this correct or is there any other way of claiming it. Thanks in advance for the help

It costs your employer to furlough you, it's not free. No, you can't claim furlough yourself, it's entirely up to your employer whether they choose to do this.

It’s correct, how long have you been working for them for? How many hours are you contracted to work?0

Sadly it sounds like furlough will not be an option if your employer isn’t able to meet the associated costs.
You may need to look at claiming benefits in the meantime. Have look at one of the benefit entitlement calculators such as entitled to or turn2us.0 -

Sorry spelling mistake0

They don't have to furlough you, and if you are on a zero hours contract, they don't have to pay you either, unless you have established a consistent pattern of work with regular hours over several months (and even then you have a fight on your hands).0
