Best mattress brands

We're considering upgrading our mattresses considering we spend a 1/3 of our lives in bed, it's a worthwhile investment.
After looking around, the hypnos mattresses have good reviews. Any recommendations from personal experiences?

We have been using a Hypnos king size for over six years, does not need turning over just head to tail every three months, we both like a firm but not hard mattress and find it right and comfortable for us.

Given the personal nature involved you need to reach your own conclusion. I absolutely hate my other halfs bed (she loves it), to the extent that we have different beds. I have a 2100 pocket sprung, she who must be obeyed has one of these eve things, completely different products with different experiences.

Hypnos do seem good, love the ones in PI hotels.
But mine is my one big indulgence and it's Relyon.
It's one of the 5 best in the country.
They used to be a lot more expensive and aren't cheap now but worth every penny.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I bought an Otty mattress about a year ago! No more back pain, although I think that is also due to using the Otty pillow as well!

Great mattress, really comfortable and you get 100 days to send it back!

I have an Otty as well, and its been really good so far (about a year old)
It did take a bit of getting used to though, as it is a bit on the firm side.

I'd take a look at Vi-Spring, Harrison Spinks, Hypnos or Tempur. Of course it comes down to what you prefer, springs or foam. Foam mattresses you go on what you prefer the feel of, sprung you try out soft/med/firm. Stay away from integrated toppers if you like to turn your mattress.
