Letter of Action

Options
I was going to send out a "letter of action" this week to a gardener for work not finished. With the current lockdown, do I or should I leave this until the lockdown has ended? I know construction work is still allowed but not sure how I stand with expecting him to work in the lockdown

Think you mean a "letter before action"? I doubt gardening is viewed as essential.

However, people have been told to go to work if they cannot WFH and gardening should be one of the lowest risk activities, so I see no reason why the gardener could not continue working.
    It's not difficult!
'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner.
    'Wonder' - to feel curious.

I would agree that there is no reason that the lockdown should prevent contracted work being completed. Are you aware of the being any other reasonable reason why the gardener cannot do the work? Even if they are ill, they should send someone else to do the work if it's going to be more than a couple of weeks before they can return to work.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

I have been sending him emails, texts, phone calls and a recorded letter for 6 months. It is a landscaping job he hasn't completed. The only time he has responded was after the recorded letter when he said he would complete the work, just not sure when but that was 5 weeks ago. I am left with no option other than to pursue this letter before action.
