Wallpaper and tiling

In our kitchen it is our intention to wallpaper a section of the room in addition to tiling. Google is bamboozling me as I am trying to establish which should be done first? Painting and wallpapering or tiling? When I ask google it brings up answers about painting and flooring but not wallpapering ....

I don't think it really matters. It might depend on where the tiling is. If wallpaper is on the same wall then tiling will be better first. Tiles can always be cleaned, paint can always be touched up, wallpaper is fragile.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

i think it depends on where everything is that you plan to tile, paint and wall paper. but i would do the tiling first as you can paint right up to the tiles and similarly wall paper right up to the tiles.
i would then do the painting next and the wall papering last as you can easily wall paper over a painted area.1 -
Thanks for confirming my thoughts. The wallpaper will go up against the tiles in 2 places where it finishes at two ends of the kitchen, and I was thinking the tiles should be first and then wallpaper to ensure a clean line but my Dad (who is not a DIY person!!) said the opposite
Thanks again very helpful

Quick question, how about flooring? Its click plank LVT that the tiler will be putting down for us (hopefully). Dad insists we should paint first?

i would paint first before putting the flooring down as you don't need to protect the floor when you paint.1
