Rendering

Hi,
I need some advise on external rendering rendering. I am looking for smooth finish or think glittering.
Which is better Monocouche or krend?
The rendering can only be done up to the damp course. There would be some bricks left at the end. What can we put on there?
Thanks

K=Rend is just a trade name for a monocouche (or thin set) finish - Just pick a colour you like and crack on.If you are wanting to render from ground up, attach a stop bead just below the DPC and render up to it. Leave for a day or three, then fix a bell drip bead just above the DPC. When finished, any gap left will be hidden below the bell drip and won't be noticeable.Just don't set the stop bead too high and/or the bell drip too low in relation to the DPC and each other.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
