Breach of Contract

Options
When does a breach of contract take place?

When I first noticed the fault or when the builders after the leak discovered was due to faulty workmanship (pipe connection leak) and said they’re not accepting responsibility and walked after fixing the leak?

Thank you.

Can you rewrite that as it doesn’t make any sense as is. The fixed the leak and then walked away? If it’s fixed, why are you upset?

Neither.  I see no breach of contract.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Why would this be a breach of contract, and not a failure to use reasonable skill and remediable under the Consumer Rights Act 2015?
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

It is a breach of contract simply because it is an assumed part of a consumer contract that the servicer provider must carry out the work with reasonable skill and care.

How are you guys making any sense of it 😂 the OP states they walked away ‘after’ fixing the leak!

    I'm not.
I was simply answering the question asking why it would be a breach of contract.
If there was a leak due to faulty workmanship then even if it was later fixed, the initial fault was a breach of contract.
