WFH and told to self isolate?

Live at home with my parents, mam has symptoms and so the three of us have been advised to self isolate me and dad 14 days and mam 10 days. She has WFH since March and has had no physical contact with anyone other than me and dad and has been so careful to socially distance when out shopping. We don't go out to pubs, restaurants etc. Question is does she have to inform her employer that she is self isolating as she has no contact with anyone else, is not particularly ill and feels she is able to continue to work as she is only rota'd in for 40 hours over the next 3 weeks and is unsure if they'll make her take "sick" leave. Obviously if she does test positive then she will inform them but in the meantime do you think she is obliged to tell them she is waiting for test? Me and dad will be full paid while we self isolate as we both front facing and can't WFH.
Apologies in advance first post hope makes sense. Thanks

Morally probably yes, but in reality I would just keep my mouth shut. The only issue arises if her boss suddenly decides she has to come back into the office or whatever.0

Even if I were pro-Lockdown - I'd think "Well I'm WFH anyway - so what's the difference to my employer? There isn't one" - so why bother to inform them? Just carry on as is.0

Is she still able to WFH? (Not too I'll.). Sounds like she can.
Is there any possibility of being asked to attend the workplace?
If that won't happen, then I would not say anything. Maybe morally the wrong thing, but if she carries on working and makes no difference to the company.0 -
I can't see why they'd need to know, if she's still doing her job every day what difference does it make to them if she's got a cough?
I can't even see anyway in which there is any moral obligation, who is she harming by not telling them?
Why would she even need to tell them about a positive test? If she's at home it makes no difference to her employer. The only time she needs to tell them is if she becomes too ill to work so needs to take sick leave.0 -
My workplace is asking people who are isolating to report that, but to continue to WFH if possible. I think it is just so if things change they have the information.
I would definitly inform of a positive test as then if things do get worse and they can no longer WFH the employer is prepared for the sick leave.0 -
I wouldn’t bother unless she thought there was a chance of being asked to go in during the isolation period.0

Surely if she has symptoms she should be getting a test, that way the rest of the household only need to isolate if she gets a positive covid result.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
