Faulty product, what are my rights?

Options
I ordered a mattress back in August from Bensons for beds, this was delivered last week and there is a huge dip in the mattress which they have agreed is faulty however our options basically mean we will be without a mattress for a fair while as we no longer have the old one.
I am 9 months pregnant, sleeping on the sofa and this is what they have offered us;
- Refund, however we will then need to order a new mattress which will take a fair while, probably even longer now with us going into a lockdown, and we are unable to go into stores to try out any mattresses to see if they are suitable
- Replacement, with an estimated wait time of 4-6 weeks, so we will have to sleep on the sofa or a faulty mattress (I can't sleep on it at all the dip is that big) and wont discuss any goodwill until after we have received the replacement so we could potentially be offered 5% off a purchase from them which I would not be happy with.
Do I have any rights in this situation, is there anything else I can do? I appreciate the wait time may not be able to be helped as they are outsourced from suppliers, but this is really affecting my mental health. (May sound dramatic but not being able to sleep is having a severe impact on me).
The fact that this mattress was also £1,600 and not a cheap one makes things that much worse.
Does anyone have any advice on if I have any other options or chose one of the two which makes me feel like I am losing either way.

Thanks

    REFUND route and buy a mattress for £100 or so until able to shop .
    PS a £100 mattress is not necessarily worse than one at £1600 and the 1,6K  is usually not 16 times better .

    I can confirm this.

    For the spare bed, I got a cheap matteress. It was very thin. It was also damn nice and comfy. Was only meant to be a styop gap but lasted for years. (Spare bed was also a cheap metal / wood thing for around £100 and it also lated well).

    Most materess's are great as long as you stay away from memory foam and non firm ones.

    I agree, get a cheap replacement to tide you over and choose whichever of the two options you prefer.
  • They're doing more than they need to with a refund, the sourcing of another isn't their problem and while I sympathise with your position, neither is your pregnancy.
    I'd take the refund and buy a £100 jobbie to tie you over.

    Why do you think that they are doing more than they need to?
    They are only doing what the law requires them to do which is to provide a full refund.
