Mine Search

Hi, im just looking for some advice with regards to a house we're buying. The mining search has come back as we live in an area of the North east which had a lot of mining activity.
Now from the search there are no mine shafts around our home. However, there is a tunnel which runs directly under our house. It's believed that activity in the area ceased around 1940's. The house was actually build in the early 50's from what i gather, so it's been sat there for over 70 years. There has been no reports of subsidence within the area and the searech indicates that any movement of the property would have been noticed by now and future movement is unlikely. Has anyone been in this situation before. Im not to concerned given the length of time the house has been build. It's my first house I'm buying so i was just wondering if anyone else would have any concerns i should raise.

You haven't told us at what depth the mining was, but as the report says, future movement is unlikely and it's a pretty commonplace result.0
