This is a 2nd job and I had worked there 2 years to top up my income. A job that I enjoy and would have ideally liked to stay there. Not sure if I like the tone of some of these replies.bradders1983 said:Were those adjustments in line with published guidance?
Its a shame this pandemic had forced healthy 36 year olds like yourself onto the scrapheap but if they had made the required changed, they need do no more. In any case, we digress.
Thanks anyway0 -
Ah I missed that then. In which case then I suspect the OP is on a hiding to nothing if they took him off payroll between the 2nd and the 30th.gary83 said:

Well no, not really. Did you even ask or check what adjustments the office had made?wshepherd84 said:
Since then, the uncertainty has developed into a 2nd full national lockdown. So my concerns were well founded.
As already said dont be surprised if they dont want to help, you tossed them off a month ago. In this case you may not even have been on the payroll come the reference date which as far as I am aware hasnt been made public yet.- To be eligible to be claimed for under this extension, employees must be on an employer’s PAYE payroll by 23:59 30th October 2020. This means a Real Time Information (RTI) submission notifying payment for that employee to HMRC must have been made on or before 30th October 2020.

The date is "by 23.59 on 30 October". That's not the same as having to be employed on that date. Posters will no doubt remember the 28 February and 19 March cut-offs, and the rehiring of those who had left their jobs earlier.bradders1983 said:

I see. I suspect the OP is still going to get a two letter answer though, maybe he can let us know how he gets on.Jeremy535897 said:

I don't think the government have clarified that people can be re-employed this time. When the first furlough announcement was made it was for a minimum of 3 months and at that time most people didn't think COVID would affect us as badly as it has done, so I'm not sure an additional 1 month furlough will be enough for many employers to change their mind over a redundancy, even if it's allowed. It should help anyone who had already been asked to take unpaid leave during November though.Jeremy535897 said:

No, we await the full guidance, but the way the earlier legislation was drafted just required the employee to be employed before the cut off date, and obviously they had to be employed when being furloughed. I would be surprised if the format was changed, but who knows?epm-84 said:
