The parking company sent a PCN due to non receipt of the advertised charge
Your bank statement says your parking app took the money
Where do you think the problem is ? Even if you do not understand the error
Your third party app is the missing link , do a Poirot to find the error and rectify it

If I sell something on eBay and the buyer uses the PayPal app , if I do not receive the funds I won't send the goods
The buyer has an issue with the PayPal app and PayPal , not me
Your open and shut case doesn't seem that way to me , because ECP say no money was received yet the service was used (parking)1 -
I'm unsure of the general consensus here. Redx, you seem to think it's not worth an appeal, whereas the others do? I understand what you are saying above, but surely it is not my fault if I use the advertised app to pay, and there is a miscommunication between the app and ECP? Everything is fine from my end, I have paid what I expected to pay.0

I never mentioned do not appeal , I based my replies on the current facts and common sense
I did not tell you not to try plan A
I did not tell you not to appeal to ECP
I did not tell you not to appeal to Popla
I do think you should be finding out what happened after you paid glide to pay ECP , what went wrong , before any appeal to anyone , use that time wisely and do not make assumptions about outcomes
These are questions a judge or the claimant may ask , so my questions are based on the facts before us and as devils advocate
You have missed crucial points here
Your parking contract is with the parking company and they allege it was unfulfilled
Your payment contract was with a third party app and you say it was fulfilled
If you pay deliveroo or just eat for a 10 course meal and the restaurant does not deliver due to non payment , your contract is with the app who took the money and failed the overall contract , if the restaurant cooked the food and wasn't paid , they could send you the bill direct
Whilst this may not be totally accurate , you get the gist !!
My replies were about the situation , not your proposed actions , I introduced further initial actions and was not in agreement with it being an open and shut case1 -
Have you checked that the VRM in the app is absolutely correct - i.e. zero instead of letter O etc?2

My bet is wrong location code.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
