HSBC Secure Key

I got my HSBC secure key and got access to my HSBC online banking again but it is still a lot of faff compared to my other bank accounts.
User name then other info then entering a pin into secure key then entering a code, compared to three letters on a drop down menu for my other accounts.

Are you asking a question which requires an answer or just moaning about HSBC?5

If you have a smartphone why not use a digital version of your secure key?David28 said:I got my HSBC secure key and got access to my HSBC online banking again but it is still a lot of faff compared to my other bank accounts.

That is the whole point - it is supposed to be a lot of hassle which will protect you should anybody try and access your account3

If I want to use a smart phone the secure key has to be deactivated.
If I want to use the secure key I can't use a smart phone. Also a smart phone with Android Go does not work

Three letters from your password is one of the worst security options a bank can use. A smartphone or smartkey is one of the best.0

Yes, I’m sure HSBC making your account more secure is because they really don’t like their customers so are just trying to make their lives miserable on purpose.Chino said:
