You might have a chance under consumer rights law on the grounds that you were misinformed about the 100 night trial, assuming that did exist at the time of purchase. Proving it would be hard, maybe impossible if the information given was not in writing. You could write to Dreams. However, I have the impression they are a huge faceless chain and out for profit. 

Sales staff get commission, I know Tempur pay bonuses based on units sold, and Dreams staff know little about mattresses beyond the basics and the sales pitch. 

As someone said, you need a physiotherapist to advise you, not a commission chasing sales rep. A latex topper might work, it would insulate the bed from your heat, stopping it forming around you. But I could be wrong. 

I bought a pocket spring mattress, and it’s the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. I’ve gone back to my previous cheap(ish) memory foam mattress. £950 wasted.

I think it is only  if you buy direct  from Tempur via their website that you get 100 days trial. If you buy from Dreams your get 45 day trial.
