Exceptional circumstances re staying at hotel/holiday cottages : lockdown in England

My sister is in a difficult situation and she is on her own apart from her son. She has sold and moved out of her house hoping that it wouldn't be that long before she would be able to move into the property she is buying. She has been staying with her son at holiday cottages and hotels hoping that the sale would go through fairly quickly. However things have been held up and the solicitors of the people she's buying from are not answering communications from my sister's solicitor. What is the situation regarding accommodation given that a lot of places will be shut down due to lockdown starting on Thursday in England?

She still needs somewhere to live, get her to book a cottage for a month and explain the situation to the owner.1

If she’s got nowhere else to live and can find somewhere that is staying open there shouldn’t be an issue.Has she exchanged and got a completion date, as in a set timescale, or could the purchase still fall through? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
There will still be some open - ring around a few on Booking.com to see who’ll be staying open.1
