Is ex liable for Council tax

Ok, so my partner and I were having problems so he moved put and rented a room elsewhere... 2 months later we decided to give it another go, but we stayed living separately for 2 years... we own a property together.. was he liable to pay half the council tax or not?

I just read your other thread OP. I'd have thought it would be a third of council tax that your ex pays as you have an adult son paying 'keep' too which surely goes towards the utahites and other household bills.0
