Laminate flooring is a flooring product made from layers of hard and soft wood, with a layer of plastic film on top. It is typically used in residential and commercial applications. Laminate flooring is often preferred for its durability, low maintenance, and ease of installation.

SPC is the new flavour of the month for LVT I think according to a shop salesman I talked to yesterday. They said its more hard wearing, while still being comfortable to walk on. They also said some don't need an underlay as it is built in. I have no idea what is true, or embellished as I am still looking myself so will be interested in the various replies.0

LVT is great for wet areas (we've got Karndean in the kitchen and both bathrooms) but, for me, it's got to be engineered oak in the living areas.0
