Try as I may. I cannot correlate between the above with regards to screw size and what bits are required. I need to know the exact bit requirement for each screw size and how they correlate to old imperial sizes eg. size 8 screws. Assuming I want to use say size 8 woodscrews on some balustrading. what size screws and bit…

The appropriate bit will be specified on the packaging/retail description of the screw you're buying. There is no hard and fast relationship between screw size and bit. Eg, specialist flooring bits like Lost Tite might use a smaller bit than the non-flooring equivalent, because the head is smaller.
