Car Owners Forums - Membership Discounts

I've been a member of the Toyota Owners Club forum for many years and they offer what I believe is a very worthwhile "paid for" membership option which offers amongst other things discounts from Halfords products ranging from 10 to 15%. I know Ford Owners Club offers a similar product. I am aware that some say Halfords are overpriced to begin with but taking into account the discounts, I have usually found them cheaper than competitors such as Euro carparts for example.

The cost of a 2 year subscription used to be £20, but it has now gone up to £27.

Over the years I have saved quite a bit, particularly on more expensive purchases such as car batteries, not just for myself, but for family and friends also.

I'm just contemplating whether or not to renew at the increased subscription, but before doing so, thought I would post on here just to see if anyone is aware of better alternatives for obtaining discounts on car/motor related products.

Do you actually need to join?  I use several forums and the discount codes are usually clearly visible even
just searching with google.  No need to join the club.

Don't forget euro have about a dozen discounts a week. I get shed loads of emails with the latest discount code,
also they have carparts4less which is the online side of euro which is sometimes cheaper.  GSF were
cheaper last time my daughter needed an EFB battery.
