Will another lockdown affect house buying process?

We know now that it won't be the same. SDLT_Geek's helpful post shows what's different. The situation may be much more hopeful than the government painted it in their announcement, and their own actions show they either know this, or they realise now how much collateral damage the first lockdown caused.pbhb said:After two failed house sales I’m not prepared to lose another! I know we don’t know if another lockdown will be the same but I’m interested to know on what happened last time

The main effect lockdown has is that more people will be wary of taking on big mortgage debt as their job may be insecure, or the bank may review their eligibility for a loan, that is more relevant to the market IMO than how many people are allowed to wander round properties, it directly affects chains that is the biggie.0

Especially as the other thread about the allowability of viewings in the era of 'Lockdown Light' appears to have vanished. All your words of wisdom, and mine, gone in an instant.1

It won`t be convenient for people hoping to sell their house, or people desperate to buy a house?1

Indeed, Crashy. And I am sure the loss of jobs is of more relevance than covid-spreading house viewers and closed EAs. As for words of wisdom, I'm sure I remember some of yours and some of mine. Good 'Evans
