Hi everyone i hope we are all ok and keeping well!
Bit of help/advice if anyone can.
I own a small sandwich shop where i work with one other person, since coming out of lockdown my trade has been reduced somewhat, this isnt due to anything else other than covid. The thing is i cant furlough myself or my staff because if i shut ill lose more money.
If i had to add up all the hours lost of taking money id say it adds up to 2 daysish. Is there away of getting any help for this?
Im a ltd company and pay myself a directors wage.
My bills electricity, rent, fuel to get to work. are the same if not more now its winter

I don't know the rules and details on what help is available but is there anyway you can adapt your business model to help?
Some offices I've worked in have had sandwiches and snacks delivered for lunch.
My Husband is very much into healthy eating so a healthy take away would be quite appealing to him admittedly not quite the weather for salads but we do love falafel salad bowls.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

If your shop was eligible for SBRR and on the rating list in your name at 11 March 2020, you should have received the small business grant. You could have applied for a bounce back loan if it was trading before 1 March 2020, although time is running out to do that now (deadline 30 November, but realistically your company needs to have a business bank account already, with an accredited lender.1

I did get a grant which i spent on wages and upgrading ready for return plus reimbursement of what was lost eg stock on closure for 9 weeks. I did take a bbl of 5k but there isnt much left of that now

Are you working shorter hours? JSS Open may be an option.0

You say there are two of you working. Can you cover any of the hours with one working and consider JSS Open to supplement some of the non-working hours of the second?
Can you do delivery? Uber Eats or similar to get more volume of trade?
If you are in England, whatever is announced this evening may change everything.1 -
