I'm not sure about Wales and Scotland, but if you are in England even the top tier allows house moves. Of course things may change...0

But he is planning on a full lock down bar schools and unis0

Until they announce the rules how can we possibly know?
Best guess is moving will be ok if you can logistically get movers and conveyancer to do the required work. Most will have learnt from last time so it should be easier. When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.2 -
House moves were allowed the first time round if unavoidable. Just crack on aiming to the 18th.Moneygrabber89 said:But he is planning on a full lock down bar schools and unis0 -
We're in a very similar position, also looking to exchange and complete on the 18th. I'm going to ask whether the chain would be happy to bring the date forward (as far as I know, everything is ready to go so it should be possible) because although moves will probably be technically allowed, it will be much easier to sort beforehand, plus it would be far preferable to be in the new house if we're all shut up again! If we can't move the date forward, then we'll just proceed as planned, but we figured that we might as well ask!

Northern Ireland is in a 'circuit breaker' lockdown at the moment and estate agents are working as normal. I doubt house moves will be affected in England by whatever is coming here.1

It seems you can still move or even have a survey done in Wales's 'firebreak' lockdown at the moment too. Viewings prohibited though. Don't panic.lobsterpot11 said:Northern Ireland is in a 'circuit breaker' lockdown at the moment and estate agents are working as normal.
