So - does anyone have any top tips on keeping my makeup on my face and not all over my mask. I’ve tried powdering but nope - that hasn’t worked. A few setting sprays and still I have the same problem. Can anyone recommend perhaps a setting spray that actually works. Thanks everyone x

I am wondering if you let it dry before using the mask- it might help. I use estee lauder double wear and honestly I get such little transfer it is amazing. I don't really use the setting sprays too much. I leave about half an hour drive before putting on a mask all day and limited transfer. I really think trying something like double wear might benefit reducing the transfer,2

I use Urban Decay setting spray and it is very good.1

Because the mask is so close to the face it is acting like a cloth which will rub off your makeup. Some now just put on eye makeup only which the mask does not touch. The setting sprays will do nothing with a mask which is touching your skin and rubbing off the makeup.Or get a plastic fact shield it will not be touching your face and rubbing off your makeup.1

I use both Ester Lauder Double Wear and Urban Decay and I have very little transfer onto my black mask. I also wear a lipstick everyday and top this with lip coat and again there is barely any transfer.1

Thanks everyone - very much appreciated. I might have to put the Estée Lauder foundation and urban decay setting spray on my Christmas present list - they are quite expensive for me at the moment. I wonder if anyone can suggest products that might be cheaper - that pesky Corona is biting into my purse strings.0

Please don't wear a face shield instead of a mask unless you really have to. There are plenty of demonstrations showing how they just direct droplets and aerosols downwards and around the sides, whereas masks contain those droplets and at least some of the aerosols. Face shields ultimately are only really effective at protecting the wearer in combination with a mask.donnac2558 said:Or get a plastic fact shield it will not be touching your face and rubbing off your makeup.3 -
