Thanks for the info.
I have a cynical, spiteful sister who is never willing to lend any money even if in need and was complaining about giving me a 30 minute drive to work saying she has stuff to do. Its just 30 minutes and in the past few years many times I've asked her to lend just a small amount but no. And she's asking us to help for her wedding. But this is life.

It would be helpful for the OP to prepare a SoA to guide their next steps.  If they need further advice, share the SoA in the DFW board.

Maybe your sister considers your credit risk as high as the companies that turned you down?
But seriously, 3 defaults and you were expecting them to say yes?
The fact that you've started paying one does not remove the historical default, which is a statement of fact that will remain on your credit history.
