Will Buildings insurance cover tracing electric fault

Hi,
Before i ring insurance company can anyone tell me if the below line in policy covers tracing an electrical fault under my floorboards?
"Tracing and repair of leaking underground pipes, drains and cables up to £2,500 for any one claim and £25,000 in any period of insurance"
some background got a short circuit and the RCD keeps popping. I have emergency electrical cover with homeeserve but they wont fix it and said must be bad wiring under floorboards. They said check if my insurance covers trace and access

The wording implies that it covers underground pipes drains and cables and if they're under the floorboards, they're not underground. I also think this is specifically referring to water leaks (although admittedly I've never heard of a water cable.)0

ahh yeah..I reckon you're right. I might jsut ring insurance broker and just ask for clarity on what it means in reference to a leaking cable0

I would think the 'underground' means the supply to the property rather than the supply in the property. Also worth checking the wording of the Homeserve contract as it would seem to exclude more than it includes. I had a problem with Homeserve when one light kept blowing, engineer came and claimed that nothing in the electrical system could cause a bulb to keep blowing but did replace the lampholder. The bulb hasn't blown since so doesn't that suggest that something in the electrical system, maybe the lampholder, was faulty?

I phoned insurance broker and trace and access is only relating to loss of water...there goes I tried. I'll check my Homeserve contract.
Homeserve supervisor after me escalating, agreed to call back the electrical contractor and help me out if I can get the wiring under the floorboards exposed. Homeserve's electrical contractor reckons there is a junction box under floor which has a 6mm cable branching off to 1.5mm and 2.5mm. he looked at electrical cable going to boiler and said it's 1.5mm so that is too low. The wiring coming out of the RCD at the consumer unit is a hefty 6mm cable. probably what happened in his opinion that is the old wiring to electric shower or electric cooker that was there b4 and whoever did the wiring for kitchen (according to me some 15 yrs back) branched off that.
According to Homeserve 3rd part contracted engineer he says that's the prob - 6mm branching off to 1.5mm for boiler and 2.5mm for living room lights and plug circuit.0
