Received tax refund 🤔but Haven’t received PPI refund

Hi, I put in my claim for PPI and after a year Barclaycard contacted me to do a check to confirm I was who I said I was, all was good and the case would be worked on. 

Months later I received a letter stating they had wrote to me years ago, ( to a home I had sold years previous to these letters ) concerning my PPI refund and as I did not correspond and my PPI payments were for commission. Therefore I am not entitled to a PPI refund. They did However enclose  a cheque for the tax refund on my claim. I am completely confused , How can I get a tax refund and no PPI refund 🤔

Barclaycard haven’t sent you a tax refund, it’ll be the cheque for the commission aspect (Plevin) which they’ve referred to in their letter.

They have applied a time bar but you may be able to go back to them if you had closed the account and moved address prior to then writing to you originally as they have. It may make a difference to the outcome of your complaint as the time bar may not be valid.
