I wonder if anyone can help.
I ordered a carpet online. Carpet fitters came round and whilst rolling it out found 3 massive holes in it. I had to make a decision then and there whether to get the carpet laid or let them leave. As 2 of the holes would be cut off with the excess carpet there was one left and this one would go under the sofa so wouldnt be noticable to anyone but me knowing its there. I proceeded with the fitting as I also have 2 young children so cannot keep bare floor boards whilst this is sorted. I then called the carpet firm who said if it hasnt been cut they would replace it but this was too late for me. They now want to offer me £30 quid towards a carpet that was nearly £300 quid and not fit for purpose really. Can anyone help if I have a further fight against this or have to accept the £30 and lesson learnt?
Thanks for any advice!

By going ahead and having it fitted you have accepted the carpet. The supplier will not take it back now. I would snatch their hands off for the £302

A 10% refund is very generous in the circumstances.
You had your chance to reject it but chose to go ahead with fitting knowing it had a defect.1 -
How much did you expect to get for a carpet with one home that you decided to keep anyway?!0

Bite their hands off, they don't have to offer anything. Why did you let them cut and fit it if you don't want it?0

Probably thought they’d have to refund cos faulty but wouldn’t want to take it up cos inconvenient #quidsinfreecarpetAylesbury_Duck said:Bite their hands off, they don't have to offer anything. Why did you let them cut and fit it if you don't want it?
