Hi All,
Will try to keep it short and sweet..
Parking charge received from NCP for parking in the car park next to my gym (Pure Gym.) Gym offers 2 hours free parking after 6pm, it was within the time frame and I logged my visit into the computer as per normal process. I Have asked the gym to provide proof that I logged my in on my visit but they are slow to respond and phone lines aren't working at the moment due to covid. I have not responded yet to the PCN. My question is do I need to wait for proof that I entered my vehicle into the gyms system, or would proof that I belong to that gym be sufficient to appeal the PCN? It was issued on the 22nd.
Thanks

Your gym enquiry and their cancellation is paramount here
You have 28 days to appeal as keeper , so appeal around day 25 to NCP , trying to get it cancelled in the meantime
Any appeal to NCP is by using the blue text template from the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum5 -
Better to conduct all your business with the gym by e-mail or letter; a phone call is worth the paper it is written on! You should be complaining bitterly (but politely) to the gym and insisting they get it sorted. Do this before appealing - just do not miss the deadline.6

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, sometimes it can lead to cancellation.,
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers. On 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, and hopefully this will become law shortly
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -

Update - It appears the computer system had a fault that day. My Pure Gym App logs the date and time of each visit so basically I can prove that I was in the gym at the time in question, in accordance with the terms and conditions of my membership and not in breach of any agreement Pure Gym has with NCP.... I am still trying to get the gym to step in and get it cancelled as my first course of action1

You'd win in court if not.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

*Plot twist* The gym inform me that they don't hold the data as the machine belongs to NCP. So they can't check/verify that I entered my registration number when I visited. They have however sent me a screen shot from their internal systems showing the date and time of my visit. They say they are unable to do anything about the charge as it is not their car park or land (this is actually true) I have submitted my appeal as per the template on the newbies thread..1
