IPC appeal dismissed, car subsequently sold

I'm wondering where I stand on my parking charge since I have recently sold my car.
I have received a 'final demand' from an IPC affiliated PPC after unsuccessfully (shocker!) appealing to the IAC. As part of that appeals process I think I might have said I was the driver and/or registered keeper as I needed to click some check boxes in the online appeals process to proceed with the appeal.
I haven't received an LBC but could do with understanding where I stand on the next stage as I no longer own the car.
My 'fine' relates to having not enter my reg upon entering the car park even though my stay was less than half of the free 2 hour limit.

I'm wondering where I stand on my parking charge since I have recently sold my car.Makes no difference. How can that possibly matter to a parking event when you were the keeper/driver?
If you are sued, defend as normal, as per the NEWBIES.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So you think it's just a matter of waiting for the LBC and challenging as per the guidelines in the NEWBIES thread?Coupon-mad said:I'm wondering where I stand on my parking charge since I have recently sold my car.Makes no difference. I wasn't sure if the response I need to give the NTK should differ as I don't own the car anymore
Also interested in understanding whether there's any precedence for challenging a fine that's been issued not inputting your reg into a car park machine even though the stay was less than the free time allowed.0 -
Correct , LBC stage then court , unless you can obtain a landowner cancellation ?
It's not a fine , it's an invoice for alleged contractual breach of contract
Not owning the car anymore is irrelevant , what matters is it was in your name with the DVLA on the incident date
Argue your case in court , with a judge as referee (it's an unregulated industry)2 -

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, sometimes it can lead to cancellation.,
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers. On 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, and hopefully this will become law shortly

Yes, you appear to have missed the ParkingEye defence example about a hidden keypad/ipad (very similar).Atspol said:Also interested in understanding whether there's any precedence for challenging a fine that's been issued not inputting your reg into a car park machine even though the stay was less than the free time allowed.
All cases are the same. We see this all the time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
