Best supercar driving experience

Mike Mercury used to offer the ultimate Supercar driving experience;...not sure he’s still around though. Hell of a guy.

Depends on what you want to get out of it. If just the feel of driving round and being seen in a super car then go for the most expensive car you can afford.
But if you want to have a driving experience then look for track days, there is a track near us that regularly has supercars cars out that you can hire for an hour.0 -
I suspect the chances of them letting you loose with carte blanche for just hoofing it without restrictions on throttle opening are slender - simply because Joe Average will wrap the car in short order, due to being unused to the power. Just watch all those YouTube videos of eejits flooring even more powerful versions of normal cars away from car shows, and ending up redecorating the scenery.
The more laps, the more wear, the more fuel, the fewer punters per day. So the more they will inevitably charge.0 -
Best "value" will probably involve a pure driving car like a Westfield or similar rather than a £1M prestige model like a Bugatti.0

I have done a few of these experiences. Ferrari’s , Porsche etc with an instructor next to me , my fav tho are the single seater but none I have done will let you have full throttle which is understandable given the amount of people I have seen spin off even at part throttle. My fav was probably the thruxton experience in the UK.
I have also done one in the USA. Where I was allowed full throttle in a Shelby mustang , loved it0 -
I did an event at Dunsfold which was a couple of laps in 3 supercars. 2 laps wasn’t enough, and how enthusiastically you could drive depended on the Instructor - I wouldn’t bother again.
However I’ve just done a sales event with Jaguar in their new F-Type (which you may not class as a Supercar). That was 2 hours of driving flat out in a selection of brand new cars on their Fen End test circuit. Best of all it was free! Goes on until November if you can get a place - you book online (just google it).0 -

From my research, the Palmersport experiences at Bedford do seem to encourage you to go full tilt, I suspect because it's surrounded by grass rather than barriers. I recall a quote I read somewhere along this lines of "for as much as something that costs £1k can be considered good value, this experience is good value". You do seem to get a good mix of stuff and it's a full day (I'd have posted a clickable link but am not allowed apparently, but its at palmersport.com/event-options/full-day/ )
The other option might be trackday car hire. That's a good few hundred quid too depending on the car but you'll get more track time. It's also possible to share with a friend or whoever to spread the cost.0 -
A firm called Car Chase Heroes are the best I've been on.
