Morning! Well, it's definitely dreary today, but that's OK because th plan is todo the second curtain thing. First one is done and it did get easier sewing the slippery cardboard the more I did, the seams are practically straight on three sides...:) the measuring and measuring and holding against and measuring and pinning and basting takes the time. This side is the wonky side though, where the roof is at an angle, so does the top need to be so I'm not looking forward to that.We did have chicken stew with the YS cooked chicken last night and I still have two drumsticks left to make a chicken noodle soup in the future. I de-boned everything once it was properly cooked, the fox will have a treat tonight [ forgot to put the bones out last night] and there's enough for tomorrow night with herby dumplings. Tonight we are off to OHs mums for supper, feeling a bit ambivalent about this because although there aren't any rules against this, I haven't been indoors anyone else's house often enough to feel relaxed about it. I've been in three other houses bar my own and one of those was Oh mum again...With infections skyrocketing I'm just not feeling that comfortable about it. They are ultra careful though, both would be on a vulnerable list, but still.....Anyway. Today is a day of sewing and swearing but for that, I need a boiled egg breakfast with soldiers I think.Nelski, congratulations on your continued decluttering. It's kind of addictive isn't it?OK, very addictive. Snoozer, hope Brians mum pulls through and your tooth continues to not hurt.. tru, craft room, woop! Gers, german sausages, woop! Hey all reading, enjoy traipsing through Thursday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi13

Morning all.
Dark and dismal outside which suits me just fine. I feel much more like doing things in the house when I know that I can't be expected to go out. The human psyche is unfathomable. Especially mine.
TA, what are you doing, moving heavy furniture about on your own! For goodness sake woman, don't do that! You're an accident waiting to happen. And you make the rest of us look bad.
Ooh thru, a craft room of your own! I used to have one of those, now I just have untidy boxes of things spread all over the place. It's hard getting used to living in a small space after a lifetime of living in large (barn-like) houses.
ADO, until now I used to save up and get a professional oven-cleaning company in once a year. Cover your eyes mse monitors.
Actually, totting up all the products I used to buy it was probably not much more expensive. I had a new, beautiful, eye level, hide and slide oven installed a year ago and I lined the bottom with one of those rubbery sheety things that you can wash in the sink. The shelves get a scrub with a Br*ll* pad occasionally, which only leaves the sides and glass door to tackle so I ought to be able to manage that. I am only cooking for myself now so it doesn't get nearly so messy.
Gosh, It's coffee time. I've done nothing this morning but fritter my time away on my tablet.
There is the huge st amount of tidying and hiding stuff away to be done.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
When you see something good in someone, tell them. It may take seconds to say, but for them it could last a lifetime.I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.13 -

All my comings and goings have been and gone! DM fed and watered too. The cleaner came as the heavy rain hadn't yet started so that's good as it's left Friday free for me.TA - I once shared an office with two other teachers, one of whom was a very go-getting and energetic. Once I left for about an hour and when I came back he had re-arranged three desks / chairs / filing cabinets / tea station and fridge. And all the computer cables were properly sorted and carefully tied up. Great chap, we are still in touch.SNOOZER - my thoughts are with your extended family. Even with things looking bad I hope that some good comes out of it.AOD - gluwein and mulled wine are in my top two list of horrible unnecessary and yeughy drinks. There's just no need for either of them.10

Evening all,
At last I am beginning to feel better following my reaction to the vaccines, hopefully the rest of my body will soon catch up with my wonderful new hip.
I had a lovely phone call this afternoon from a friend I met within my first week in college in 1962. We only speak or meet three or four times a year......it is amazing how our views have remained the same over all those years and it is wonderful to laugh at the things we laughed at then.
I hope that those of you in lockdown are managing to keep your heads together, it is a very difficult time for everyone, stay safe.
