Cold draft and what do you call that thingy...

We've a 2 bed maisonette split over ground and 1st floor with the lower floor only being partial and the upper floor extending out above the carpark.

We intend to replace the kitchen as soon as we can afford to but other things have come up so not got there yet. The integrated washing machine died and so we had to replace it but the hinges didnt fully align to the new model so at the moment its say with its door off as its not been worth drilling new holes etc when the door will be replaced "soon". The machine is near the corner of the room with one side being a party wall and the other being internal blockwork wall. Standing next to it the other night though there was a very notable cold draft coming from around the washmachine... where the hell would that draft be coming from?

Secondly, at the far end of the room we have a window wall with french doors out to the balcony. Window frames are metal (installed 2006 when the development was built) but have I guess what you'd call plastic double side ramps that the window closure goes over to pull the window closed tight... one of those is missing and there is a bit of whistling in high winds or slight draft in high winds.... what are those things properly called to see if i can buy a replacement somewhere (the second part of the item in the photo below). Unfortunately the manufacturer of the matching doors and windows is unknown as our front door is missing much of its draft seal and the profile doesnt match any of the off the shelf options I've found.

Draught 1 is probably where the waste pipe goes out to the drain, simple to make good round it.
Draught 2 it will be easiest to remove a bit like the missing bit and ask at a local glaziers for it.

Many thanks @knightstyle, a lot more googling resulted in finding out its called a cockspur wedge and due to the lack of popularity of the cockspur handles these days the wedges tend to only be in white. Did fine one company that said they can do other colours but its a minimum order of 10,000 and whilst I may be willing to buy some spares thats a few too many.

May check eBay/Ali Express but if not will see about if a 3D printer can sort the problem... already found plans for them and so would just need to pay for the right coloured filament... unfortunately its sold by the KG but the person who has one is willing to accept the rest of the filament as payment for adjusting the design to our specs so circa £20. Technically expensive given they sell for £1-£2 each normally but they'll print a few spares and better than having to put a white or black one on and getting nagging about how bad it looks.

I will double check the waste pipe, its actually inside the under sink cupboard and from memory is sealed rather than the normal u bend in the pipe and just being hung into an open pipe but I could be wrong.

I bought a pack of those wedges from amazon, as i was missing a couple on windows around the house.
They sell differing 'depths' so I would measure what you currently have if you have another one still on the same window, and order the closest match :) Only a couple of quid and very easy to fix. I actually bought some that were too 'deep' by around 2mm, but now find my windows close much tighter, which was a brucey bonus.

Mine are also in white (have never seen one in a different colour...?) but they are only acrylic so i'm sure you could paint them if you wanted to, or use some DXFix... although it may scratch off with use.
Alternatively If you replaced all wedges on the same window it may not look so bad?

My thought was possibly to relocate one from the spare bedroom to the lounge’s missing one so the “public” room is as intended and then put the odd one in the spare room where there is only one anyway. Did consider painting but thought the paint wouldn’t last long... Mrs opens all the windows fairly often to “air the place”
