@Black_Cat2 Tomatoes are one thing I don't need to grow.  My OH's dad grows them every year (and cucumbers) and we always get bags full from him    It'll be nice to actually swap some home grown veg with him next year.
I assume I could attach one of those little greenhouses to the wall of the house too, to stop it blowing away. Like you do with tall bookshelves.

@Ellie78 I'm not sure you could secure them to a wall (at least not the one i have) it is a simple frame with just the cover so no solid backing to it.  Where mine is located it is just a bit taller than the fence which means the wind can get behind it,  so on Saturday because i had been tidying it and removed the pots on the bottom the wet and windy weather blew it over and it ended up blocking my back door, thank goodness i hadn't locked the back gate  :)

I'm thinking that if i hang baskets from the concrete fence posts i may grow rocket and leaves that way next year and avoid the smaller pots on the patio

@Brambling the baskets did work really well, no slug/snail problems.  Although I did find a very fat caterpillar in one of them.
I hope you didn't lose any plants when it blew over!

@Black_Cat2 Yes, very lucky!  Both my dad and my OH dad are very green fingered so there's constant plant swap/gifting going on
